Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Death to Paper (the "Service"), operated by Death to Paper ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who can use Death to Paper

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement on behalf of yourself or the business you represent. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

2. Your account and data

You retain ownership of the client, appointment, and consent form data you enter into the Service. You're responsible for the accuracy of that data and for having a lawful basis to collect and process it - including getting proper consent from your own clients. We store and process it on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Free and Pro plans

The free plan includes a limited number of appointments each month, shown on your dashboard. Upgrading to Pro removes that limit and unlocks additional features, billed on a recurring basis through Stripe. You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time - your account will drop back to the free plan at the end of the current billing period, and your existing clients, appointments, and consent forms remain accessible. We won't hold your data hostage.

4. Consent forms are your responsibility

Death to Paper gives you the tools to build and collect digital consent forms, but we're not a law firm and this isn't legal advice. It's your responsibility to make sure the questions you ask, and the consent you collect, meet the legal and professional requirements that apply to your studio and jurisdiction.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
  • resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, belongs to Death to Paper. These terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what's needed to use the Service as intended.

7. Service availability

We work hard to keep Death to Paper up and running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may update, change, or temporarily suspend features to maintain or improve the Service.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Death to Paper isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be excluded.

9. Termination

You can close your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll let you know by email or via a notice on the site before they take effect.
